College and Career Services for Qualifying Residents of Lubbock and Surrounding Counties

LEARN Inc. is a non-profit educational organization that residents can reach out to for academic opportunities. We help students of all ages obtain funds to attend college and/or receive training.

Our Programs

Educational Talent Search (TS)
In November of 1969, LEARN Inc. received a grant from the U.S. Department of Education to fund the Educational Talent Search program to serve Lubbock and the South Plains area. The program assists students with secondary school completion and postsecondary enrollment.

Educational Opportunity Center (EOC)
In November of 1991, LEARN Inc. added its second TRiO Program, EOC, to serve the educational needs of disadvantaged adults 19 years and older. EOC is a free program that assists adults with applying for secondary (GED) and postsecondary (college) education.
This program prepares you for higher education by exposing you to college culture and providing college roadshows. It also helps you become workplace-ready by providing access to educational resources.

The principal purpose of LEARN Inc. is to assist individuals with beginning, furthering, and pursuing their education, and to afford individuals the opportunity to improve their educational, social, and economic future.

Eligibility

Only certain counties/high schools can participate. You must also meet the criteria to apply for assistance. Please see the eligibility requirements here.

Funding and Resources

Our programs are federally funded for ages 12 to 18. We continually do outreach programs to attract more resources/services and provide better assistance.
